Mr. Grant Hanevold joined the Public Education Foundation in 2020 and currently serves as the Chief Education Officer. Grant brings 30 years of experience with the Clark County School District to the position where he served as Mathematics Teacher, Dean, Assistant Principal, Principal, School Associate Superintendent, and Region Superintendent. Grant brings diverse leadership experience in elementary, middle and high school, and in both rural and urban settings.

Following her time with CCSD, Ashlie utilized her experience both as an educator and someone who had moved abroad as an Outreach Coordinator for 900+ teachers who had chosen to develop their careers via an immersive cultural exchange experience in the United States. A fervent advocate for creating equitable and inclusive environments within her chosen communities, Ashlie also proudly participates on both the Scholarship and the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Committees of Pink Boot Society.

Mr. Dien Artiaga has been working with CCSD for 6 years. He completed a BS in Finance from UNLV in 2013 followed by an MBA from UMASS in 2017. His diverse interests led him to pursue a career in teaching. His first experience in education was as a teacher assistant in an elementary Autism program. At the end of 2017 he obtained his provisional license and was hired as a first-grade teacher at Harris ES. He believes that collective efficacy is a powerful tool to increase student achievement at CCSD. 


Dien Artiaga

3rd Grade Teacher, CCSD

Elisa Skousen is a Learning Strategist at CCSD. She provides teacher support at Nevada Learning Academy Elementary School, the district’s online K-12 School. Elisa has nearly 20 years experience working in Pre-K-College settings, teaching Kindergarten, fourth grade, and high school, as well as college courses. Elisa holds a BA in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Bilingual Education, an MA in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Bilingual Education, and an MEd in Educational Leadership.

Learning Strategist, CCSD

Mrs. Chelsea Ganotisi is an Elementary Special Education Teacher. Chelsea became a licensed Special Education Teacher in 2020, but she has over 7 years of experience working with students with special needs ranging from Pre-K to 8th Grade. She mainly works with students who have Learning Disabilities. Chelsea is passionate about helping all students reach their full potential through individualized activities that make learning enjoyable and memorable for them. 


Chelsea Ganotisi

Special Educator, Futuro Academy

Jessica Stepaniak has been in education for the past 19 years. Jessica is currently teaching as a special education resource teacher in English at Hug High School in the Washoe County School District. Prior to this year, she was a program specialist for the 21st Century Learning Division where she developed and facilitated professional learning for teachers as well as created other resources for instruction and technology. Jessica has spent the majority of her education career in special education specializing in accessibility and Universal Design for Learning.

Special Educator, Washoe County
